This course introduces students to the adjunctive physical agent modalities available to the chiropractic physician. The modalities employ the use of electrical energy, electromagnetic energy, mechanical energy and thermal energy. The basic physics and physiological principles governing each modality are discussed, as well as the clinical rationale, contraindications, and adverse effects  for the application of each modality. The corresponding hands-on lab training develops proficiency in applying these modalities.
