This course offers a study of the basic concepts and principles of
psychological assessment, including historical factors influencing
testing and test construction. Students will also learn the statistical
language and theory related to measurement error, scales of measurement,
measures of central tendency and variability, reliability and validity.
Students will learn about the different types of assessment instruments
and their range of applications in the field. Critical evaluation of
assessment instruments is included.
