This course covers the radiological manifestations, clinical and laboratory presentations, and management of osteochondroses, skeletal dysplasia, nutritional, metabolic, endocrine, and hematological conditions affecting the skeletal system. Students review special imaging procedures, such as computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, bone scan, ultrasound, discography, and myelography. Cases utilizing these modalities are presented. Appropriate indications and contraindications are reviewed with an emphasis on appropriate imaging decisions.
