In last week’s Facilities Planning newsletter, it was announced that the library will be closed during the next term break, from March 21 to April 5. The library will be moving to the new campus at this time and library staff will be busy preparing the new library for the start of spring term.

I wanted to follow up with those who teach or are enrolled in online programs to clarify what this means for you. From March 21 to April 5:

  • Students and faculty will have the usual access to all of the library’s online resources. Caveat: If there happen to be any issues with the online resources, library staff may have limited and/or sporadic availability to troubleshoot those issues.
  • There will be no interlibrary loan (ILL) service.
  • The library will not be able to mail textbooks or other physical library resources.
  • Library staff may not be able to respond quickly to voicemails or emails but will get back to you as soon as possible.

The whole UWS library staff thanks you in advance for your patience during this time of transition.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at sdebner@uws.edu, as well as Kim Olson-Charles, Head of Library Public Services, at (kolson@uws.edu).

Sincerely,

Stephanie Debner
